Opaque, deep red with a vibrant ruby edge with densely packed dark aromatics of black plum, dark cherry, cassis, licorice, toasty oak, hints of vanilla and dark cocoa. Mouth filling with a dense and powerful elegance. Lush flavors of black currant, blackberry and plum wrapped in spice and dark chocolate. Firm tannins extend the flavors and add texture.

This Cabernet Sauvignon pairs well with braised short ribs, spaghetti & meatballs, mushroom risotto, or grilled tofu with roasted vegetables.

This special selection was grown in one of Alexander Valley's most infamous vineyards - Belle Terre. Why infamous? Belle Terre contributed many of the grapes that went into one of the winners of the "Judgement of Paris" tasting of 1976.

A mild spring with very little rain and good weather at flowering set up an extended growing/ripening season with moderate temperatures 86-94° F day time temperature with cool night and foggy mornings. Great for slow gentle ripening, giving full fruit expression.
