A Prohibition-style wine that first draws you in with aromas of blackberry bramble, black licorice, dried orange peel, aromatic tea leaf, and cardamom. This succulent Red Blend delivers flavors bursting with blackberry, plum, and tart cherry. Once the wine is ready to age, we put select lots in previously used Rye Whiskey barrels to impart rich and spiced flavors. Some would say it’s as if a splash of Manhattan spilled into your glass of red wine.

The 2016 vintage was a beautiful year to slowly ripen red varieties. Spring began with minimal rain, ushering in a warm, uneventful growing season. Fruit benefited from a long hang time, with a few heat spikes here and there. Mostly moderate, daytime temperatures were between 85°–92°F throughout the ripening season. Cool nights and foggy mornings made for a slow, gentle ripening, ensuring the red varieties were picked with dense and concentrated flavors.
