Full of intrigue and lovely baking spice, fresh sage notes and pine needles lead the way to raspberry, dark cherry and cranberry interlaced with savory aromas of gingerbread and salted caramel, and subtle notes of mineral, maybe even a hint of fresh earth. Rich, black cherry and red plum flavors are framed with hints of sweet toasted oak and mineral, followed by hints of gingerbread and earthy notes of sage and fir and that characteristic forest floor aroma. There's a light peppery spice that gives more dark character and enhances the structure. The mouth feel is fleshy and concentrated, finishing with lingering bright cherry and hints of smoky bacon. The tannins are firm, ripe and present.
