This brilliantly clear, pale-straw-colored Sauvignon Blanc is fresh, bright, and crisp. The wine opens with complex aromas of lime zest, Meyer lemon, pink grapefruit, lemongrass, freshly cut hay, honeysuckle, and a hint of wet stone. Fresh and forward, zesty flavors of grapefruit and citrus with subtle herbal notes meld beautifully with a vivid acidity. Fresh, full, and vibrant, the finish is long and lingering with lemongrass and mineral.

"Fresh, smooth and showing depth as well as bright, juicy citrus; some exposure to oak gives it layers of flavor, long and balanced." - Anthony Dias Blue, The Tasting Panel, November 2020

SIMI Winery Executive Chef Kolin Vazzoler suggests pairing this wine with pasta pesto, goat cheese with olives, barbequed shrimp, vegetable stir fry, and roast chicken.

Fruit for this 2019 Sonoma County Sauvignon Blanc comes primarily from Sonoma County’s Alexander Valley. We chose other lots from similarly prestigious Sonoma County appellations. Fruit from the warmer Dry Creek Valley and Knights Valley contributes tropical and stone fruit flavors, along with a silky texture. The cooler Russian River Valley lent the wine grapefruit, lime, and mineral characteristics as well as a bright, zingy acid component.
