Moderate temperatures throughout harvest contributed to beautifully-concentrated aromas and flavors, and vivid acidity.

Winter rains and cool temperatures contributed to a later than usual bud break. Flowering in mid-June occurred in a very stable weather window (absent of heat, wind and rain) that contributed to a uniform berry set. With Sauvignon Blanc uniform berry set allows the fruit to ripen homogenously and reduces pyrazine development caused by overly vigorous canopies. The summer saw ideal weather throughout, with only two short heat spells. The fruit ripened slowly, which kept acids high and allowed flavors to fully develop and intensify.
